Wedding Prep

For those of you who've read previous posts, you'll know that my mom's wedding was supposed to be today at a patio garden place.  Well, due to Hurricane Irene, the place and caterers canceled and many people can't make it now.  So, it was decided that the wedding would be held at my grandparents' house outside in the garden, and the reception inside.

Obviously, this requires a lot more prep work on our part.  Thankfully, the cake wasn't canceled, but since we're expecting a much smaller turn out, it will now be smaller.  One thing off our list.  Now: food!  We went to Sam's before the storm yesterday and bought a couple salmon and some packets of (very yummy) sauces that we could make for it.  Also lots of other foods...I was having to much fun jamming out with my youngest step-sister to notice what all we got.

As for decor, simply clean the house and re-arrange the kitchen/dinning room and put white table covers over EVERYTHING!  Before we knew it would be canceled, we'd already made the center-pieces for all the tables and a large one for the head table.  What are we doing with those?  Well, the large one is still a center piece...but for the food table.  As for the small ones, they're going to be spread around the garden and lit.

I'm pretty sure that everyone (who is physically able) will be standing the entire wedding...since we don't have nearly enough chairs for everyone to sit down...Oh well.  I'm mostly sure it's going to be a pretty service, anyways.  It's supposed to be sunny and 90 degrees Farenheight tomorrow, and, thankfully, our dresses were bought for hot weather, so we shouldn't over-heat...I hope...

Well, here's hoping that nothing else goes wrong before tomorrow....
