The Mad Musician

AHA! I've figured out how to work this thingamajig! (I'm not so good with the Internet...). Well now, let's see what I can't do...

I'm pretty crazy, most of the time :)
MYSELF. ABOUT ME. What have you...the generic title for...ME: Madelaine "Mandolin" Smith--aka The Mad Musician. I'm an 18 year old Christian lady, trying to live my life for the Lord.

Anyhow, I'm calling myself the Mad Musician both because I'm crazy and because I'm pretty good at musical stuff. This year I made it into my college's honors recital singing "Pie Jesu". I'm in the concert choir, and just got back from choir tour on the 29th. We went out to the East Coast and I saw a ton of cool things. We toured Boston, Lexington and Concord and saw (the skyline of) New York City. Whew! It was a blast!
Me with my best friend, fooling around at the piano

While music is a HUGE part of my life, that's not the only thing I'm interested in. Throughout high school I was super-involved in anything theater related, especially the speech team. I was Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Ms. Teavee in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and my personal favorite, Essie in You Can't Take it With You.
OK, so this scene wasn't REALLY in the play, but I got carried away
taking pictures afterwards!

Like any other girl, I also like cute clothes and taking lots of pictures. Unfortunately, I'm a TOTAL cheapskate. I find most of my clothes at Goodwill and other thrift stores. I also don't generally put too much effort into my appearance, which causes a LOT of grief from my younger sister. I could seriously see her going to school to become a cosmetologist or something.

THERE WILL BE MORE LATER.
