You may or may not know this, but Isabel and I were in the same class this past year. Our little almost-sophomore had an amazing first year in journalism, if I do say so myself. ;) She did have some pretty awesome mentors....Myself included. Haha!

Once again, I'm writing a post about my complete and total nerdiness. I've always been fascinated by all things Japan. (One of the reasons why I'm super excited to be taking Japanese this year!!!) And, I'm not going to lie, I'm a total anime/manga geek.

I have WAY to many favorites to list, such as Fullmetal Alchemist (I prefer Brotherhood, for those who know what I'm talking about...), Fruits Basket, Vampire Knight, Shugo Chara, Higurashi, Inuyasha, and, my top-ranging favorite, Hetalia.

Thoughts on the Zimmerman Trial

First, I want to make something clear:  the story.  To be fair, the only two people that know exactly what happened are either, A, Zimmerman, or B, dead.  For argument's sake, this is the story I'm basing my opinion on:

So, I'm feeling pretty strange today....I mean, it's been a month since I graduated from high school. I haven't felt very different from before I did any day but graduation day. Maybe it's just weird because time is flying by and the fact that I've graduated and am leaving home soon is starting to feel more and more like a reality.

Confessions of a Brony

Hey, Blahggers.

Okay, okay, I know...It's sad that I'm a Brony. (Or Pegasister for those who insist that Brony is not a unisex term.) I am totally OBSESSED with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. (RAINBOW DASH ALL THE WAY FTW!!!)

Now Where's That Pot 'O Gold....

So Blahggers, I FINALLY got a job. I successfully avoided my standard of no McDonalds or similar fast food restaraunts and got a job at....a machine shop. Yeah.

But really, its not bad. So I sit on a stool all day and spray off parts with an air hose. And hey, I get $10 bucks an hour. Yeah buddy.

Chemistry!!!

Hey there, Blahggers!

So, I promised two posts: one about journalism, and one about chemistry. So, here's the happy AP chem post!!!!

My school goes by a block schedule, which (for the people, like me when I first moved here, who don't know what that is) means that I have four classes one day, and another for the next. Repeat cycle. However, AP chem was a double block, which means I had it both days. It was a relatively small class, there were only 11 of us, not including the teacher.

So, there's one place that I love more than any other place. When I'm at the beach, I feel at home and pretty much free. If I could, I'd go to the ocean and never leave. There's an amazing feeling to if that I just can't get anywhere else!

So, recently I've been obsessed with a YouTube star who makes all his own music. He does original pieces, yes, but what I mean by "makes his own music" is every sound you hear in these songs is a sound he made with his body. He uses no instruments. Perhaps you've heard of him or seen the Harris Teeter commercial he did. His name is Mike Tompkins. And he is totally amazing!

Have you ever noticed there are so many things people are addicted to? Games, TV shows, people, gum, books, you name it! Everyone has some weird addiction that actually doesn't have anything "addictive" by medical definition about it.

It's a crazy world out there

With 7 billion people in the world, there's always going to be someone who's prettier than you. Smarter than you. Has a "better" life than you. Like the old saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

So, I live in the grand old US of A. Independence Day is only three days away for us! But, before WE celebrate the birthday of the red, white, and blue, our next door neighbors deserve a hoot, holler, and a happy birthday wish, as well.
